12 Hops of Winter – Triple IPA
Aroma: Piny, tree sap, citrus, alcohol heat.
Appearance: Caramelized Red with a Golden Caramelized White Head.
Flavor: Pine needle and sap. Big malt characteristics derived from the massive malt bill of Munich, Wheat, Oats, Barley as well as Crystal-30 and 60 balanced out by MASSIVE hoppy bitterness upfront and throughout that comes from the triple dose of bittering and flavor additions of the 12 hops that play a role, with alcohol heat coming in at the end of every delicious sip of this big beer.
Mouthfeel: Goes down smooth considering the 12% ABV with a pleasant hoppy bitter bomb up front followed by the sappy alcohol heat in the back of the tongue.
Overall Impression: A malty heavily hopped beer that is criminally smooth and easy to drink. Makes you feel like you’re sitting around the camp fire while camping in the woods surrounded by gigantic pines dripping with sap.
